Children's village

We headed to Cheyenne to see Steven graduate and visit with our Lake cousins.
After a yummy breakfast at The Egg and I Friday morning, we went over to Lion's park and walked around the children's village. It was such a cute little spot where the kids could explore everything from teepees, to water, to music, puppets, all kinds of things. It was all out side. Lucky for us Cheyenne has summer temperatures.

Listening to story time. This lasted for about 10 minutes and then it was too hot for us cold weather people.

 exploring the teepees

each one had a drum so they divided up and were "chiefs" of the three teepees

The big boys put on a splendid little puppet show

 While Reagan and Hudson watched.

Behind the scenes of the puppet show in the secret garden

By this time the water was feeling really nice!

The five older kids patiently waiting for the story

And this is them being distracted!

When we got into the car to head for Steven and Vicki's this is how our kids looked! Two hours in the sun wore them right out.  This is the only nap poor little Hudson got all day. I think it lasted about 15 minutes!!
