bye bye pine trees!

 I finally convinced Brent that the pine trees need to go. The first time we ever looked at this house, almost three years ago, my first thought was how ugly they pine trees were. If we ever bought this house, I thought, they would be the first things to go. Well, it took two years, but they are gone.  We are kind of slow at making major changes. It is the city clean-up this week which means we didn't have to haul the trees to the dump. Perfect!!
Oh, and if you're wondering, the Christmas lights have come down. Yup, we were that white trash family that had the dangly ones up until May. Sheesh, what have we become?!

Now to find some rose bushes to plant in the front. Or if anyone has any other grand ideas of what would look nice there (and on the other side) feel free to chime on in! We are amateur landscape artists!!
