New (to us) dinner ideas

Just thought I would share a couple of recipes that we have really liked lately. Sorry, no pictures. Just use your imagination!

Cheesy baked alfredo
8 oz rigatoni (the cork screw looking pasta)
2 pkgs. alfredo sauce or you could use a bottle
some broccoli-I used a smallish head and it was enough
some cooked chicken-grilled worked really well
parmesan cheese
mozzarella cheese

I cooked the noodles and threw the broccoli in at the end to soften it up. Make the alfredo sauce. We really like the garlic version of it. Add all the ingredients and mix it up to your liking. Sprinkle some more cheese on top and pop it in the oven. I did it at 350 for about 15 minutes and then turned it to broil to crisp the cheese up on top. Serve it with some garlic bread and its a complete meal!
My kids ate it up. We barely had leftovers for Brent to take to work. I'm sure you can find a more exact recipe...but you don't really need one. I just made it up as I went.

Second: Home made calzone or stromboli-which ever one doesn't have sauce in it. Maybe neither. Who knows...anyway, it doesn't matter.

Your favorite pizza toppings
Pillsbury pizza crust
1 egg beaten
Italian seasonings
Parmesan cheese

We use pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, sausage, canadian bacon, and mozzarella cheese. Spread the pizza crust out and place all the ingredients on it. Fold it up so everything is inside. Baste with beaten egg and put the seasonings and Parmesan cheese on top. Cut little slits in the top so it can breath. Bake at whatever the pizza crust says until it is golden brown on top. Warm up some pizza sauce and dip. Again, a hit with the small children. Except for the mushrooms. They don't like them. We make them pick them out because we love them!

I hope this helps someone with a dinner idea!
