Last weekend was the annual Relay for Life here in Evanston. I was the team captain this year. That only meant that I tried to get stuff organized. I had a lot of help getting everything done. We cooked dinner on Friday night and had breakfast items available to buy Saturday morning. Saturday was kind of a bust because 1. no one was there and 2. the main committee had free donuts. Kind of hard to compete with free. But, what do you do? Ok, so I let them know we weren't happy...
We ended up making about 900.00. Not too bad considering we didn't think we'd make much more than 25.00.
For the first time ever I stayed all night. I think I got about 2 hours of sleep (which is more than others) and I was feeling it the next day.
Thanks to everyone who helped out and made our camp fun.

I need to tell you about the time I organized a Relay for Life team (I think it was my sophmore year of high school. Man, it was only me and Dale who were there during the night as our (night team) to walk. I remember one lap (after he woke me up for my turn) took me 45 minutes I was shuffling so slow!! LOL!!
