Fun weekend

We took off to Salt Lake this weekend for a little get away. We had a lot of fun. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to see Paul and Tara. Maybe next time, guys.

First, Bridger had to do a little cleaning before we could go.
Ok, so maybe he emptied the cupboard and climbed in with out being asked...but he did put it all back in when asked.

We stayed at Little America (in Salt Lake, not the middle of Wyoming).

Andrea came and watched the boys for us so we could go to the concert.
She also came to dinner with us at Rodizio. Yummy! We were all stuffed by the time we left.
Bridger was really excited about her taking care of them.

Brent and I went to the Reba/Kelly concert.
We loved it. I forgot how much fun concerts are.

We even got to sit by some ...should we say...special people. This lady stood through most of the concert trying to sing the words, but mostly swaying expressionless...like she was on something. We had a few good laughs at her expense. Not very nice but we couldn't help it (and the people on both sides of us couldn't help it either). The guy sitting behind her was not so happy.
These two girls (Purple and black in the front) danced the night away, like their lives depended on it. They also provided some additional entertainment (like the music wasn't enough).

Reba and Kelly Clarkson put on a good show. They aren't very good speakers, but that isn't what they get paid for. They can SING! It was a great mix of rock/pop (what ever its called) and country. Melissa Peterman (Barbra Jean from the show Reba) opened and made an appearance during the concert. She is hilarious. I don't think she would be as funny if you haven't watched the show, but we loved her. So funny.

Saturday we got up and headed to Cabela's.
Corbin was so good. He just hung out in his car seat the whole time. Barely made a peep!

Bridger loved all the animals. He especially liked feeding the fish and shooting the guns.

Then we came home and were greeted my old man winter. Bridger loved watching it snow.
Ok, so there wasn't a whole lot of snow, but there was enough for it to feel like winter is here. Don't worry, it is supposed to warm up next week. Just getting us prepared for the real deal.

Concerts are excellent people-watching, blog fodder. I need to get to one ASAP.

I have to admit now that I love Neil Diamond and that I am one of those people that stands up and sings. However, I sit down when I'm supposed to. But, maybe, just maybe, I annoy those around me. :)

Hey Collette. I was at the concert too! It was amazing. We had some interesting people sitting by us as well. I wonder why some people even bother paying the money to just sit there and look bored. Oh well. I had fun!
