We found this little gem while we were at Busy Bee, in Mtn. View, over Thanksgiving weekend. I love that the saying hasn't been over used on decorations. It also happens to be part of one of my favorite Christmas songs. Don't worry that it might clash a little bit with the blanket on the table.

This is how we decorated our hutch this year. We are still trying to figure out how to make the Nativity not look so small on the top shelf and there are some more branches to be added to the very top. I try to take a picture each year so we can kind of remember how it looked. Saves a lot of thinking when it comes time to decorate.

Here is the tree. It looks a lot like last year because...it has the same stuff on it, with a couple of additions. Monday night Brent came home from school and was a little surprised that we hadn't decorated the tree. By we, I mean Bridger and I (yeah, like that would have been fun!). I said, oh! I thought you would want to help, to which he replied: no, I don't really care. So Tuesday I decorated the tree-by myself, as Bridger napped. Brent came home and was completely shocked that the tree was decorated. He said: I thought we would do that tonight, together as a family. Make up your mind!! He liked it and didn't even change one thing. (He's kind of particular about things like Christmas trees and ornaments).

Looks like you guys had an exciting weekend. Hope Bridger is back to normal soon. Your decorations are great. Thanks for "shopping".
I, too, like you decor. We decorated for Christmas early this year (like NOV 10) because we are leaving during Christmas break) and we painted over Thanksgiving and I knew I wouldn't do it if I didn't at that point. So, I'm writing with a purpose...ya know how I've always been a very open person? Will you tell me if I went too far on my blog with my 6 things you don't know about me? I know you will know several of them....Sharla did, but my husband said I shouldn't have put that there. Anyway...I'm just open!
Boys... I mean, Men... They just can't make up their minds. :)
I started getting my Christmas things out last night also and I'm with you on taking pictures so you don't have to figure out each year what you've done in the past. I found something last night in the decorations and my thought was "what is this here for" As I'm sitting here typing, I know now what I used it for. When you mentioned about your small nativity, the thought came to me that you could maybe get some evergreen and put it to the sides of the nativity and also some battery powered candles. Just a few thoughts. Enjoy the season.
I love the stockings sign! Figure out how to make that and send it to me...ha ha!

oops...I'm an idiot.
Tell Brent to lighten up and enjoy what you have done, he can't have it both ways. Tell him if he wants to help, then he can take it all down while you nap. I look forward to seeing you both at Christmas. Hope all is well.
See you both later,
Uncle Mikal
My poor soon keeps asking when we are putting our tree up. Uh, after the semester is over? that puts us at about dec 21. I don't think that is going to keep him happy. I guess I better drag the stuff out soon. thanks for the inspiration.
Collette you are so crafty. Plus, thanks for the info about the template for my blog. You win the prize. Merry Christmas and happy decorating.
