This is why...

I love fall. It has been pretty darn chilly here the past couple of days. This morning I thought I would dress Bridger the part. The jeans he is wearing are 18 month, and they only have to be rolled a little bit! Pretty good considering the 6 month jeans he was wearing were only slightly high waters on him. What can I say, the kiddo is small. I like it that way. I'd hate to be lugging around a little boy any bigger. I'm kind of a wimp:)

I'm not a regular "crafter or scrapbooker". I saw this project and thought that it would be a fun tradition to start. I would make it out of fall/halloween paper and we could add a picture every year. It would just be part of our fall decorations. Well, I couldn't figure out most of it, except the lids. I can fold paper. I just can't figure out how to make plus signs so that they will fold into nice little boxes. If anyone else can figure this out...please let me know how to do it.

I went to the dr. yesterday and baby lake # 2 is being good to me! I haven't gained any weight so far (knock on wood). I was pretty excited because by this time with Bridger I had gained about 12-15 pounds. I figure I still have most of that left so there is no need to add extra! The heart rate was about 164. According to the old wives tale, that is high and means probably a girl. I guess we'll see. I have my ultrasound scheduled for the 29th of October...not that that meant anything last time. Bridger was a girl (in our minds) until 2 weeks before he was born. I'm pretty sure he's been a boy since he was conceived:)

I'm finally getting my long list of things to do, done. It feels so good to get so much accomplished. The biggest is the Sacrament Meeting Program for primary. This was the first order of business for me as the new president. I feel like I can get the other things in place now and primary might start running like a well oiled machine...hopefully. I've got some great counselors who are on the ball and keep everything going smooth. I love it.

I think that is it. Sorry if this bored you to tears. I figured I might as well make this like a journal so that somewhere our activities are being recorded!

I liked your update. I find that when I am informative instead of funny or sly, I get fewer comments which is lame because I know that people enjoy reading them, it's just that perhaps there's nothing "cool" to say. Fun! We should find out the gender of the baby the first week of November. No stealing my girl name PS. Our baby's heartbeat was 170. Hmm... hopefully we're having a girl. :)

My hats off to you. I did 4 programs and it was hard every time, but extremely rewarding. Don't worry about journaling in your blog, that is the whole reason I am doing it. The only thing I find is that I cannot say EVERYTHING I want to say.

I couldn't access the video, which is very disappointing.

Try the video again. It took me several tries. I kept clicking the center of the screen. Hopefully that will work.

Hey Lakes,

It is so fun to visit your blog and see what you guys have been up to.

Collette, I didn't know you were the Primary Pres. I loved that calling. Enjoy the children, they are wonderful. I was the pres for 5 years and did 5 programs. Good Luck!

Congrats on the calling! We had our program last week. Luckily, I didn't have to write it. I'm over scouts....yipee. I'm so glad we're in touch!!

I think you'll make a fantastic president. You're very gentle and fun! The kids will love you. I know you think your blog entry was boring but really it isn't. I really enjoyed it. I love fall too and get super excited every time it comes around. Usually it's the crisp air that gets me going!

Good luck with your tradition. It should be a fun one.

Hey there,
Your box is super cute. Hook me up with your secrets. What a big boy Bridger is getting to be. You always think that they are going to dump their food on the floor, but we have never had that problem with Jace. Granted when he is done, he will hold out his plate for us to take. We had our first casualty on our tile floor when his plate slipped out of his hands and crashed. We now enjoy dining with plastic ELMO.
