We started out at the mall and then headed to Ikea to look around. Luckily they didn't have what we really wanted so we saved some dollars.
After Ikea we decided to try a restaurant that had been on a food channel show. The first one that we found was Pat's BBQ. It is on 2100 south in a sort of sketchy area. The food was just as great as Guy on 'Diners, Drive-ins,and Dives' said it was. I had meatloaf and creamed corn and Brent had ribs. All of it was delicious. We left full and happy to have found a new place.
We then checked into our hotel and decided to get some gelato. It ended up being a nice little walk in the cool spring evening.
We finished up our evening at City Creek and Harmon's grocery store (which will get its own post). Deseret book during priesthood is INSANE!! C'mon people...there is a whole mall we don't need to scrunch into one store to feel more spiritual!!;)
This morning we woke up early and headed to conference. We got there before the doors opened and ended up pretty close. It is always fun to be in the conference center. I haven't been there for about 10 years. We sat by the hearing impaired section and the interpreters were just a little distracting. Other than that it was wonderful. Such a wonderful spirit.
Then we headed to retrieve our kids and relieve my parents. It was a much needed weekend and rejuvenating!!
