Bear Lake

We love Bear Lake. It seemed like the summer was slipping away and we hadn't done anything as a family.
The original plan was go rent some paddle boats at the ponds in Evanston. When we arrived we found out they don't rent them out until evenings. Awesome. The kids were all in their swimming suits and ready to go so we decided to head to Bear Lake.
It was a perfect Monday afternoon. We had to share the beach with only a few other people. The kids had a blast wading in the water and digging in the sand. We even rented a paddle boat.  The wind was a little much so that excursion was short lived. The boys loved the ride and had their feet up like they were on vacation. So cute. We topped the evening off with a visit to the drive in. No trip to Bear Lake is complete without a raspberry shake, in my opinion. 
Such a fun day. It was worth all the sand and hastle of packing things up for the memories that I hope the kids have. Can't wait until our family reunion!
