Pumpkin Patch

We have been wanting to go to a pumpkin patch since we went to one in Wheatland a couple of years ago. Last year it didn't work out and so this year we decided to find one and try it out. We settled on one called Black Island Farms in Syracuse. We weren't disappointed. We got there about an hour before it opened to the public. They were waiting for the last of the school field trips to leave and so they let us in to walk around and play on the stuff that was open. We looked at a bunch of animals (cows, turkeys, pigs, goats, llamas, chickens, geese, peacocks, etc.), walked through a straw maze that was just the boys size, played in the corn box, on the slide, and on the teeter totters. We were going to go on the hay ride but the boys were getting tired by the time we walked around so we settled on picking our pumpkins from the ones that they had for sale in the market. It is definately somewhere we will be heading back to next fall.

*We didn't even think about how many germs we encountered until I got home and started looking at the pictures. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer...hopefully it worked and we didn't pick up some random disease.*

So fun! I loved going to the Black Island Farms last year. We haven't gone yet this year...but I am wanting to! The kids totally had a blast...and Sadie was about 6 weeks old when we went. :)

Looks like fun! We are going on Saturday. Once again, I am amazed that you actually have the energy to go out, and have fun with your family. I, seriously, didn't leave the house for a month!!
