Well, yesterday marked a very important day in my grown-up life. I made jam for the first time without having anyone telling me how to do it. I had to just follow the recipe and rely on what I had been taught 3 years earlier by my grandma Kennington.

Bridger mixing up the first batch of freezer jam. I had never made freezer jam before so I hope it worked!
Bridger documented us filling the jars with the hot cooked jam.

Brent helping me fill the jars with the cooked jam.

Proof that I was involved in the process!

See, my hands are touching the jar of jam.
I'm glad Brent made it with me a few years ago so that when I was doubting he could reassure me that we did it that way with Grandma.
We haven't tasted it yet, but it looks pretty good.

Please please please email me the recipe!!!
I make raspberry freezer jam ever year too. I have always just used the recipe that's on the inside of the Pectin box, and it works great. I haven't made a batch this year, yet, and don't know if I will actually get around to it. Yum, Yum, Yum. Good job!
