Kabobs

Just in case you are in a recipe rut, like we are, here is a fresh recipe. We like these on the grill the best, but when there is a foot of snow on the ground, the oven will do.

We use the following ingredients:
2 red bell peppers
2 green bell peppers
1 large yellow onion
2 cartons of mushrooms
3-4 chicken breasts
1 can cooked potatoes

Marinade it all in garlic and herb marinade for about 30 minutes
put it all on the soaked skewer sticks
bake at 350 for about 20 minutes
Add whatever you think would taste good.

We had it with rice mixed with butter and chicken bullion. It tasted so yummy and summer like. Perfect for a cold January day.

I am definitely in a recipe rut, and Jake is on a diet, so I'm looking for fun ways to cook healthy things. This looks great!! I will have to try it, just without the butter on the rice, maybe. Thanks for the idea. Cute boys, too! Love the pirate stuff. My kids really enjoy playing pirates at home. Rohne is always Capt. Hook.
