Sick kids.
Sad for them because they don't feel well. Sad for their parents because they can't do anything and don't get nearly enough sleep.
Corbin is finally feeling better after having a nice double ear infection. Just as he got feeling better Bridger came down with a crazy fever. He's had it for a couple of days now and yesterday he complained that it hurt to drink. Soooo, I took him to the doc this morning thinking he had strep. I was wrong. He has hand foot and mouth disease. I'm sure many of you have heard of it, or even had kids with it. You can read all about it here. Basically, he has sores in his mouth and they may spread to his feet and hands. There is nothing we can do about it because it is viral. We just have to keep pumping him full of pain killers, try to get him to eat and drink, and prevent Corbin from getting it. The Dr. made sure that I understood that if Corbin gets it he could end up in the hospital. Fun. Looks like we'll be spending a little while in our own house.
Is it June yet? I am ready for the sick season to be done. Am I sounding like a broken record? I guess the good news is that their little immune systems are getting stronger and stronger with each sickness. Like the Dr. said, its better to have them sick while their little, instead of going to school and missing tons of time because they aren't immune to anything. Thanks for pointing out the good, doc!
Just incase anyone wanted to see how darn cute the boy is.

Oh dang! It looks like all of us have sick kids...it's SUCH the pits. That hand, foot, mouth thing is pretty nasty - we know that from experience. I hope Corbin doesn't get it!
Hey we are playing the double ear infection game here at our house too! Both boys!!! No fun. Sorry about the kiddies....they are still so darn cute. I can't believe how big Corbin is getting.
So sorry about the sickies!! What a bummer. I don't know how you do it with two. I hope Bridger starts feeling better!
Oh that is so sad! Hand mouth and foot disease! wow, I hope it goes away soon! And keep Corbin away from him! What cute little guys you have and I hope everyone gets healthy soon!
What a very cute little boy, I agree. My kids got this about a month ago, but never got sores on their hands ad feet, just mouth. It is hard to keep them hydrated though. Rohne finally had to go and get an IV of fluids, because he wouldn't drink. But, it was just in and out, no biggie. I will be hoping they get over it soon, and your little one doesn't get it. I can't wait for June either, although I feel like we've been pretty lucky this season.
