I am happy to announce that the Lake home is ready for Christmas. I mean completely ready. Wait, I have one present to wrap and then we're done, but that won't happen for a little bit. A couple of posts ago I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get it all done. Not that we over did anything, there were just many worthy things that needed to be done. Here is a run down of all that we've accomplished in getting ready for Christmas:
- shopping
- wrapping
- tree up
- stockings made and hung
- goodie plates made
- goodie plates delivered
- cards made
- cards mailed and delivered
- less fortunate family found
- party held to help family
I think that sums up what we have done to prepare for the Holiday. Now, during the up coming week we can really turn our focus to the birth of our Savior and not stress about that last minute gift or if everything is wrapped, etc. I love it. It is a good feeling.
I never could have gotten this far without the help of Brent. He had the last 5 days off and man, did we get a lot accomplished. I'm grateful that he loves the holidays as much (possibly more) as I do and is willing to help get everything done.
