One of those days

It feels like we haven't stopped today. Let me just give a quick run down of how it went:
  • JV football game to watch Nicole cheer (she did awesome)
  • Wal-Mart to get stuff...way too much stuff and pick up Bridger's new bed
  • lunch
  • put gift together for a bridal shower while trying to get the boys to lay down
  • Watch a little football (as I was wrapping the gift)
  • Bridal shower
  • While I was a the shower Brent wrestled two little boys and tried to finish staining the Adirondack chairs he mad earlier this year
  • Come home, feed Corbin
  • Go back to Wal-Mart to get staining supplies for Brent. I picked up another crib mattress while I was there for Bridger's bed.
  • Try to put Bridger's bed together. Finally finished two hours later...blasted bed.
  • Go get something to eat (we were not about to cook)
  • Yet another trip to Wal-Mart for supplies for the smoker
  • Wrestle a football away from Bridger in Wal-Mart
  • Baths, pajamas, and beddy bye for the little ones
  • Whew, I'm tired.
This is the simple version of the day. It seemed like the boys were just extra cranky and Bridger was really wound up...that is putting it nicely.
When we got home from Wal-mart (the third time, in case you were confused) I put Corbin right in the tub. I was getting him dressed when Brent asked me if I had emptied the tub. I said, no, why? He then told me to go look in the bathroom.
This is what i found:

Bridger was enjoying a nice little bath. He must have forgotten his clothes were still on and that his diaper was stinky. Too funny. This is the first time he has climbed into the tub by himself. He usually gets completely undressed and tries, unsuccessfully, to climb in. What a funny kid. He is now sleeping soundly in his new little toddler bed. Yes, he has been in the crib up until now. We're winner parents. I hope it lasts all night. He sure was excited. We'll let him get adjusted and then bring Corbin into the mix (Corbin in the crib, in the same room)...that should be exciting.

I can totally relate! From going to Wal-mart (3 times or more a day) to the bath tub! Total chaos sometimes. Today was one of those days. Funny, before I read your post I was posting about our lovely day at church and almost titled it the same as yours! Two little boys can make a mom crazy sometimes! have fun!

Good luck with the toddler bed. It's exciting for them...especially when they figure out that they can get out all by themselves. We're going to try Mercedes in her crib in the kids' room tonight for the first time...we'll see what happens! (She's been in our room, because I'm afraid that it just won't work with the kids...so we'll see!!)
