Hunting trip

This is the area that they hunt. It looks beautiful.

Mark drinking some of their awesome hot chocolate (it heats itself)

Brent taking in the scenery.

They didn't skimp on the food. Here is their night of steak and potatoes. Looks good to me!

Brent and his cousin, Mark, went camping...I mean hunting this past week. They drove up to Bondurant and tried to get an elk with their bows and a deer with their rifles. Neither one worked. I think they had a good time. They were so excited to go they left a day earlier than they planned, but that meant they were home a little earlier than they planned. What good guys to think of their wives...and screaming children. Just kidding. It wasn't that bad (I can speak for myself. Jocie might tell a different story.) They thought they saw a bear, it was just a cow. The truck battery died and Mark had to go to Bondurant to get a new one (battery, not truck). Brent said it was a lot of fun and he would share a tent with Mark again.

The boys and I had a good time. We watched a volleyball match the first night. Then we went to Mtn. View and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Hamblin. While we were there we went to teh Lyman homecoming parade and watched the pond begin to get dug. Yes, my parents are adding a pond to the back yard...it will be so fun. Then we just hung out on Friday for a while until they got home. The boys were both so excited to see their dad again after a few days. I was too.

I loved that meal. Steak and potatoes. That is exactly what Harold would want to eat if given free reign of our menus for the rest of our lives. Meat and potatoes, meat and potatoes.

I see how it is....go out to "hunt" and end up just hanging out with friends, eating good food, laughing until all hours of the night. :)

I need to plan a "hunting" trip real soon.
