Easter 2013

We had a wonderful. Low key Easter this year. The festivities began yesterday with egg coloring and an egg hunt at grandma Lake's house.
The Easter bunny made a quick stop to deliver some candy and garden tools (He must know how coveted those tools are).
Everyone got dressed up in their new Easter duds and we headed to church. Bridger bore his testimony without any help, for the first time. Made this momma proud. It's moments like that that make me feel like we are doing something right.
After church we headed home and got dinner ready. Grandma and grandpa Hamblin were waiting for us when we got home. Despot me forgetting to turn the oven on we got dinner in time for Brent to head to work.
Whew!!! I am tired. I know I said low key but there is still a lot of work that goes in!!

I hope that everyone has had a moment or two to reflect on why we celebrate Easter. It has been a tender time for me as I have tried to teach the kids why we celebrate. The part I am so grateful for is that we are, through Jesus Christs sacrifice, able to see our loved ones again, in the flesh. How wonderful that will be. He is risen. The most wonderful message if the day.

Happy Easter.
