The day started with opening the breakfast gift. He was so excited to get whack-a-moley(as he called it).

At lunch he and Reagan played and played in the play land at McDonald's. I think we might need to take them there a little more often. Corbin helped her to the top every time with no arguing and lots of giggles. A nice change from the arguing, fighting, and crying that usually occurs when they play together.
The party.
Cake time!!

Just as the party was starting one of the worst blizzards we've had all year rolled in. Lovely! I really thought that everyone might be staying the night, including those that lived in the neighborhood! Grandma and Grandpa Hamblin did stay the night. The roads were closed until early this morning. Wouldn't you know that there were no subs available for either one of them. There were a few prayers that the roads would be open early in the morning and they were. They left about ten to five and made it home.
I think that Corbin enjoyed his day. As I tucked him into bed he gave me a big hug and said "thanks, Mom"! That made all the running around and hard work worth it!
Corbin is such a joy in our family. He keeps us laughing. Oh my, he is funny. His latest that I love are: while delivering birthday party invitations he asked what we were doing. I reminded him and he said, "oh yea, cause what's a birthday without people?" Lately he has really been putting time into perspective. He walked into my bedroom and says: "guess what? next week means next week" Wow, that was deep little guy! Here is another that I wrote on Facebook:Corbin had a good one tonight. We were singing book of Mormon stories and got to the part where their "fathers came from far across the sea". He stops and with a very serious face said: "I think their fathers came across on surf boards, don't you?" I said um... They probably came in a boat and he said, no, i'm pretty sure it was on a surf board. I love that little boy and the way his mind works!!
Those are just a couple of examples I can remember. He loves deeply, fights hard, and laughs quickly. I wouldn't have him any other way. Our little "leapling" (I learned that word yesterday).
