Really random thoughts

Warning: These are really random with no rhyme or reason to them. For those of you who have lived with me...true Collette style.

1. I never in a million years would have thought that I would find any sort of children's programming mildly entertaining. Now, after watching too many episodes of Handy Manny, Doodlebops, Wonderpets, Blues Clues, and Yo Gabba Gabba, with an occasional Dora and Diego, I find myself able to sing the theme songs to Bridger when we are out and about and he is fussy. He calms right down and even laughs. I'm sure it is because he remembers the shows, not my off key renditions!
2. I get a little bit sad when I think that my one on one time with Bridger is coming to a close. I know that billions of women have done this before, but the thought of dividing my time equally scares me. I hope I can do it so that both boys (and future children) know how much I love them.
I told you, random...

3. I never thought I would be so happy to see Bridger eat again. For the past three days he hasn't felt so well. We've been through this before, but this time he didn't want to eat anything. He didn't even want to drink anything. I was so excited when he ate his eggs and drank his milk, that I had to call Brent at school. Bridger even at lunch. Yay!!
4. Bridger has been my companion at my prenatal visits lately. When I have to do the usual stuff, the nurses take him and look out the window at the puppy. The funny thing is that we are on the 4th floor of the hospital and there are no puppies to be found. It always calms Bridger down though.
5. I love afternoon naps.
6. My friends Zach and Amy Jager had their baby last weekend. He is such a cutie. They named him Bryton Zachary. Amy didn't even have an epidural. She is awesome.

I think that is all the randomness for now. Hopefully I'll have some pictures again soon. Brent has the camera at school taking pictures of projects.

Maybe I should've known this, but you know Amy? I haven't seen her since my wedding reception 5 1/2 years ago. Thanks for letting me knwo that she had a baby. No epidural... wow.

Sharla...I lived with her and Carissa and Tasha one summer. Why wasn't I at your reception with her? Hmmm...I'll have to think on that one.

I, too sing the silly kids songs. They really get stuck in your head. I know you are a great mom, and you will have no trouble with the 2nd. It's hard splitting time at first because newborns take so much effort, but Bridger will get used to it, and and the infant stage is only such a short while. Then, it's a lot easier to devote equal time. Plus, they start playing together, and often forget you altogether!! Good luck! Glad Bridger is feeling better. I cried when Taylee wouldn't eat when she was sick, and I cried again when she started. It's a mom thing. Plus, he's such a little squirt, I bet you do worry. Maybe this next boy will be a brute!!

I had those same feelings when #2 came along. I knew that many, many children had gone through the de-throning but I was so worried and sad for Sav. It worked out fine, but it's normal for you to be worried.

Aren't random thoughts what women, especially pregnant ones, do?

I loved reading your random thoughts! I love afternoon naps, too! I miss them terribly now that Lucy doesn't nap anymore. Even when I wasn't pregnant....I napped. Congrats to Zach and Amy! I hope they are doing well....where do they live now? (I was buddies with Zach freshman year at USU)

i can remember telling my mom my thoughts (same as yours) and she told me that the saying "love doesn't divide - it multiplies" really rings true when it comes to having kids. not that i have any experience to back this up but i think you will quickly find that to be true.
