A little update on Bridger...and the rest of us

He woke up from his nap with this hair. I was dying. He must be a crazy sleeper.

Look at those eyes. Love them...

Do you think he likes spaghetti? We weren't sure.

This is his new sweater. He doesn't really believe in holding still to have his picture taken, so we didn't get the whole outfit. Just know that he was stylin'!!

We've been busy getting in the Christmas spirit. Well, sort of. It snowed all day on Friday and most of Saturday so we just stayed in the house. I went to the store on Friday morning to get the essentials, in case we were snowed in...ok, so we were out of milk. Friday night we watched Polar Express and drank hot chocolate. It was yummy. If you add hazelnut coffee creamer it is even better.
Saturday we winterized our apartment. That included putting plastic on the windows. Hopefully this will keep our heating bill down this winter, we'll see. After that we had lunch and Brent and Bridger laid down for naps. While the house was quiet I finished one of my crafty projects. I'll post a picture of it later. It didn't turn out how I was thinking, oh well. It will be cute. When the boys woke up we made sugar cookies. Bridger discovered that he likes yet another sweet thing. Cookie dough. I'm surprised the little tike wasn't sick all night. He ate a ton. After dinner I made a deal with Brent: if he would rub my back I would read his primary lesson to him. It worked great. We got to discuss the lesson, read some scriptures, and I got a back rub. Brent said he got the short end of that deal:) Then we just relaxed because I was a tired little girl. Oh, we did all the laundry in there too. Whew.
It was fun to get a lot accomplished (a lot for us, anyway). Now I can start the week refreshed and ready to tackle all that has to happen this week. At church they encouraged us to try and get all of our Christmas preparations done (shopping, wrapping, etc. etc.) by the 18th so we can focus on the true meaning of Christmas for the week leading up to Christmas day. I am happy to say that I think we will be done by this weekend. YAY! Last year when they suggested this I thought they were crazy. Now it sounds reasonable...since we're almost there.

Dallin had learned that smooshed up banana's is a much better styling product than say, gel or mousse-- he fixes his hair with it 'just so' most mornings....
I love the idea about finishing all the 'other' Christmas stuff early to focus on why we really celebrate Christmas- Thanks for sharing!!

super cute pics, I love that sweater!

You might want to tell Brent that when I ask for a massage, I give nothing in return, so he really did get a sweet deal. My hubby just does it and without complaint. Dang he is a good guy.

We didn't have much snow here, but I didn't go anywhere because I hate driving in even a skiff of snow. California girl at heart I guess.

What is up with all the projects, You rock!! I can't wait to see pics of all of them, once they are given as gifts that is.

These are the best pictures of Bridger!! I love the hair, it reminds me of that picture of Blaine when he was about that age only he didn't have a choice it just grew out like that.
