Another busy weekend

Handouts for our primary teachers. We put a mix of peanut M&M's in a bag with a little poem about a connection with the nativity.

These little mugs are for the secretaries at Brent's school. I thought they turned out pretty cute.

Here is the bowl of caramels that I wrapped before I ran out of wax paper. I love caramels, and making them isn't too difficult, but I do not like wrapping them...

Here is all of our loot before we headed out last night to deliver everything.

This weekend was busy. Well, kind of. Friday night we went to watch Douglas boys basketball team. They were having a tournament here. It was nice because some of the girls in Brent's classes kept Bridger entertained. He loves having their attention.
Saturday was filled with even more basketball. We went to the store and finished getting all the stuff to make our goodies. Then we watched two full basketball games. I was amazed that Bridger lasted through part of one, let alone two full games. Then we came home and I put together our primary goodies and the secretaries goodies, and made caramels. While I was doing this our music leader for primary called to tell me she was out of town and couldn't find anyone to do singing time. I told her I would do it, no problem (it was my week for sharing time and I could run the two together if I needed to). The primary kids are singing in Sacrament meeting next week and needed to learn their songs. Making a flip chart with the words and pictures is a lot harder than it appears. I think I whipped out a pretty cute chart for the song Picture a Christmas. When that was done we went back to the high school for one more game...there was dinner in there somewhere too.
Sunday went pretty well. The kids learned their songs, primary workers liked their goodies, and the dvd player worked for Brent's class. We came home, made dinner, made chex mix and fudge, put together some more goodie boxes and bags, went to tithing settlement, and delivered all of our stuff. Whew.
I love making sweet stuff during the holidays. Even when I was single I loved to make it and surprise people with a little plate of stuff. Around here it isn't the norm to give stuff to your friends and neighbors at Christmas. People are always really shocked when we show up at their door with a plate of goodies. It makes you feel that much better for taking the time to do it.
So that was our weekend. I can really say that we are ready for the holidays. Nothing left to do (except pack, clean, and go to the ward party). We're heading home on Friday and couldn't be more excited.

Collette, I wish we lived close enough to be on your Christmas goodies delivery list. They look great.
