Brent has been after a bird for the past week. Tonight was the night. He shot his first turkey. In case you're afraid he is hunting just for fun, do not be dismayed...he's going to smoke it for Thanksgiving. He was as excited as a little boy on Christmas morning.
**I was not so thrilled...if you know me, you know my love for birds...and looking at dead ones.

Know what would've been funny? For you to wake up in the morning with the turkey lying in bed next to you *grin* I know, I'm TERRIBLE!! So do you get to prepare it? Heh heh heh....
Aren't you funny!! No, I don't have to prepare it. Brent is doing all of that tomorrow at Casey's house. Thank goodness. Casey was even nice enough to keep it at his house. Brent knew better than to even think about asking me to do anything but look at the thing!
that is so rad!!!! i've heard of turkey hunting but i've never been associated with anyone who has been. that is so cool!!!! but i am curious, who is going to clean and prep the turkey? I wouldn't want to - especially if i hated birds the way you do. that's a big one too! that is so cool. thanks for giving me some exciting news to share with everyone i know today!
Nice job Brent! I am completely impressed. I would imagine a fresh turkey would be so much more tasty than a frozen one from the store. You gotta tell us how many pounds that sucker is and how great it tastes.
Collete-Even with all my excitement over Brent catching that thing, I wouldn't touch it either. But enjoy it anyway, after it doesn't look like a bird any more.
Nicely done Brent!! It looks huge tho...are you guys bringing it home for everyone to feast on? Hope so Happy Thanksgiving!
Dude, I don't know if I could really eat it...
