Within 7 days, write 7 things about you or you'll be stuck with 7 curses upon your head (that's what I've heard, anyways!). Pass it on! It's fun to read new things about people!
These are the instructions I received from my friend Maggie. I don't need any curses upon my head, so I'll try to think of 7 things about me that might be mildly entertaining.

1. I hate birds. Some people hate snakes, bugs, spiders, etc., etc. I hate birds. Strange, I know. I can't help it.

2. I don't like to be late. In fact, if I'm going to be late to something, I usually just don't go (unless it's important). I think it is the fact that people might stare at me, and I don't like that either. Luckily I married a guy that likes to be on time too. I will check and recheck the clock to make sure I'm on time. I get really stressed if I think I might be late.

3. I like to quilt. When I was at Utah State some of my roommates called me the closet quilter because I didn't want many people to know. I made my mom and dad a queen size quilt in the little house I was living in. I actually sewed my finger in the process. The quilt took up the whole living room for a day or so as I finished it.

4. I like the idea of scrap booking and crafty things more than I like to do them. I would rather buy all my crafty stuff...hand made of course, not made in China.

5. In the summer I refuse to wear socks and shoes. Only sandals (mostly flip-flops because other sandals have too much material). My feet get too hot and then I am miserable. Bridger didn't own a pair of shoes until he was a year old because I couldn't stand the thought of putting shoes on him in the middle of the summer. I would get uncomfortable for him just thinking about it.

6. I'm not a social butterfly...at all! I generally try to blend into my surroundings. I'm not good at making conversation and I get uncomfortable when I have to make small talk. Some people think that I am just stuck up, but really, I just don't like doing social things. Don't get me wrong, I like having friends...For example: I usually avoid things like Mary Kay parties (or any other party where things are being sold for that matter), Enrichment night (I know, I'm working on it), Girls night out (with people I don't know very well), you get the idea.

7. I don't know how to be a girly girl. I have always felt like a country bumpkin when I go outside of the small towns in Wyoming. Except for a couple of years at Utah State where it doesn't take much to look really cute compared to all of the granolas running around! I didn't even wear makeup until I went to Ricks and my roommate wouldn't let me leave our apartment with out it on. I still don't know how to make it look fancy. My hair...well, it is pretty simple. I would love to know how to make it look really cute, but I can never figure it out. Somehow I completely missed the boat on looking hip. It's probably a good thing I'm having boys first.

There you go. Seven random things about me. That took longer to think about than I thought it would. I would tag people but I'm not sure who has the time or desire to do this.
