Oh happy day
Bridger was laughing so hard at Brent bending over. Brent requested that he not be in the video. Once the camera came out it was hard for Bridger to concentrate...do I look at the camera or Dad? We love it when he gets laughing really hard like that.
I feel like I've had bloggers block. I haven't had anything that I've really felt like blogging. I must be in some kind of rut.
Brent went to Laramie for a couple of days and left Bridger and I to fend for ourselves. I realized just how much I depend on Brent to help me with the little guy. The first night he was gone I went to Casper with my counselors for a stake primary meeting. Bridger was an angel on the way over, sleeping the whole time. Then, during the meeting, he put his two cents in on whatever subject was being discussed. At the end of the meeting he made friends with a little girl sitting behind us, she was smitten, and so was he. The trip home was one I would rather forget. Linda, one of my counselors, had the privilege of sitting next to Bridger as he proceeded to scream all the way home (50 miles). Yeah, it was fun. Luckily she is a sweet, sweet lady who understood. Well, she said she understood, isn't that what you're supposed to say when someone else's kid won't stop screaming??!!
Yesterday it was regional volleyball here in Douglas. It provided some much needed relief from our little apartment. I packed the diaper bag to the max and we set out for an afternoon and evening of volleyball. It was pretty fun to watch and not have any emotional ties to any team (including Douglas). Sometimes things happen here in Douglas that I am not impressed with and it makes me want to cheer against our hometown. So Bridger lasted through 4 games each time we went. This is a huge improvement from when we've gone before. It was rather enjoyable with some intense volleyball action (upsets, 5 game matches, nice hits, etc., etc.).
Brent got home this afternoon and we were happy to see him. Bridger was napping when Brent got home but when he woke up he was happy to see his daddy. I am grateful for Brent and all the help he is with Bridger (and why shouldn't he be, he is the dad). I hadn't realized just how much Brent does.
