A little randomness

Bridger has really taken a liking to breakfast, especially if it can be poked with a fork and is slathered in syrup. Maybe its the feeling of it in his hair that he likes. I'm not quite sure. If it makes him happy, then eat away little man, eat away!

Bridger has these little foam sports balls in the form of a football, basketball, and soccer ball. The basketball is the only one that has escaped the wrath of Bridger's teeth. Yesterday he got really quiet and when I went to check on him this is what I found. Then last night the same thing happened and when we found him the soccer ball had met its match. Maybe his little mouth hurts and so he likes to bite things. Who knows. He next went for his books. Brent told him not to bite his book and took it away from him. I haven't seen such a sad little boy. He has a tender little heart.
He recovered quickly. I got the camera out to take a picture of him trying to eat his toes, while sitting up. It was pretty funny. As soon as he saw the camera he had to have it. So no toe-eating pictures today. Maybe tomorrow.

Its been a quiet couple of days. The football game was great, in case you were wondering. Bridger lasted through the whole game. We're talking 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and we only left because he had stinky pants. Brent had his posse of middle school kids around most of the game and they really entertained Bridger. I think we may have some babysitters. When Brent mentioned that we found some babysitters (meaning them) the girls were so excited...and they only charge $3 an hour. If they only knew what a steal that was I'm sure they would up their price! One little girl even said "hey, I'm certified in 1st aid". Bonus. They are cute kids and they love Brent. It is a good feeling to know that the kids would rather sit by us than throw stuff at us! Douglas won the game too, it was a good night.

Now I'm just trying to get everything in order so we can go home. Brent is going hunting and we'll be visiting and doing whatever we can figure out to enjoy ourselves. Maybe a drive to enjoy some fall foliage. It seems to be in short supply around here. We do live on the plains after all, not too many trees. It's always nice to be home with family. If anyone wants to come to that part of Wyoming we'll be there Friday and Saturday...all day!

Oh how I remember those days, when we couldn't keep a nerf ball around to save our lives. Don't you love the oral fixation phase? I think my kids might be finally out of that phase now, as I haven't seen any foam pieces around for a while.

Enjoy those willing babysitters!
