Granola Recipe

For those of you who requested this recipe, and any one else who would like to try it, here it is:

Granola
1 C Brown Sugar
5 Lb Quick Oats
2 C Honey (runny or warm)
2 C Vegetable oil
6 C Coconut (1 lb)
1 C Wheat germ (or more)
8 oz sliced almonds

Mix like bread and spread on cookie sheet. Brown in slow (300-350) oven until brown. May need to stir.
For 1/2 recipe use dark brown sugar, more almonds (6 oz instead of 4) and 1 C wheat germ.

**my tidbits**
I did 1/2 a recipe and didn't use dark brown sugar. It tastes like it needs more sugar. Maybe the dark brown is sweeter?? I did everything else the same except 1/2. As it started to brown I would stir it so the stuff underneath got brown too.

I hope you enjoy. Brent did like it.

Reading about you making granola reminded me of eating it at your house when we were young. I wanted to eat like 6 bowls and was always amazed that you guys could eat just one!
