As we were preparing to pack up and head home, we got a call from Steven (Brent's brother) that he had been in an accident. He was heading home from Evanston and hit some black ice at the bottom of one of the "sisters". He slammed into the guard rail and miraculously didn't go over the edge, which was a sheer drop off. He landed in the middle of the freeway and someone stopped and pulled him to the side. It is amazing that there were no cars, not to mention semi's, around him because they would have hit him for sure. We were so glad that he is ok. The Explorer on the other hand had a little bit of damage. Hopefully it will be fixable and everything will work out.
