In other recent news...well, not much has been going on. We spent a nice weekend at home just relaxing. We did go grocery shopping for the next two weeks and only spent 54.00. I was quite impressed and told Brent it was blog-worthy. He just gave me a 'whatever' kind of look. I really was impressed. We're not that good at being thrifty with the groceries...we may be onto something!!
I also need someone's help. I have tried and tried and tried to make cinnamon rolls that don't shrink when they get out of the oven (as in stay nice and puffy and pretty). I don't know what the trick is. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. Luckily Brent will still eat the skinny, ugly ones. He just loads them with frosting and pretends they are pretty!!
I'm pretty sure that is about all that we are doing. We are excited to have my parents come visit on Wednesday (drive fast Dad so you can see Bridger before he goes to bed).

Oh, I remember those "helping" days. As far as the cinnamon rolls not shrinking, mine never have so I'm not sure what happens. Make sure they raise enough before you cook them. That's the only thing I can think of. Why are your mom and dad going to S Dakota?
love you

Wow, I haven't had the time, energy, or ambition to cook cinnamon rolls since our first year of marriage!! I think you are like the best mom and wife ever. Your boys are so lucky to have you!
I will go as fast as the HP will allow me too. (HaHa)

Really I only do it after Brent has begged and begged for weeks. I promise I'm not that on top of anything!!
What recipe are you using? I use your grandma's roll recipe and I they seem to stay decent sized. They are definitely bigger when right out of the oven, but they don't shrink a ton when cooled down.
$54 for two weeks. Insane. You must have a garden, a cow, a chicken and be making your own cheese.
What perfect timing! I've been in the mood for cinnamon rolls lately too. So when you get the answer to your question - you should send it my way! My mouth is drooling! And what recipe do you use?.....
Don't you just LOVE getting good deals! It's always a competition for me when I go grocery shopping - to see how much I save and what the average cost per item is. $54 for two weeks is REALLY good! Do you use coupons?
Ok seriously...two weeks and only $54? I don't know how that is even possible...props though...can you come shop for me?
I love the pictures..I showed Ash and she just smiles whenever she sees Bridger...I'm pretty sure they're going to be great friends if she has anything to do about it.
Collette,
I have a really easy recipe for bread dough that I use for everything from bread, rolls, cinnamon rolls, pizza rolls etc. It's great and easy, call me and I will walk you through it. Loved all the pics, someday when you are driving by GR you will have to stop and show me the ins and outs of blogging!
