Goose Hunting

Brent in the blind.

Brent the mighty goose hunter

no, these aren't real, fooled ya huh!

Brent and Casey with the dead birds

Once again, the dead birds.

Yup, you guessed it. Brent went goose hunting. Him and Casey (the teacher he works with) went to Wheatland to "look at their industrial arts programs". It just so happens that Wheatland has some good goose hunting, and Casey has a guide service (click here for more info). They really did go look at the programs, but not for nearly as long as they went hunting. Brent had a blast and can't wait to go out next year. As much as it pains me to put pictures of dead birds on our blog-I'll do it so that you all can see how much fun he had! I'm sure you will love this as well Susan! If you know me you know my love for birds...Susan loves them just as much. Ok, ok, we really hate them.
If you would like to know more about the adventure, give Brent a call. He as more stories, like how he shot his first bird. I can't do it justice here. Maybe he'll have to do his own post!

So I don't know how I feel about goose hunting. I mean, really, how good can you feel about shooting some poor goose you've fooled (as well as me) into thinking that his buddies are just walking around with you on the ground. Mean. :) Anyway. I guess to each their own. I hope you enjoy the meat Collette. I personally couldn't do it. I had a hard enough time in France with lamb. Yuck.
